What happens when you buy this kit? Here is a step-by-step explanation.
1) You will be asked to send back to our lab a simple medical questionnaire that’s included in your kit (just mark with a circle the diseases you and your relatives have, and your smoking, drinking, and exercise habits) along with copies of the results of your last three annual general health checkups.
2) Using the information received, we will run an AI simulation2 that determines the probability of disease onset and will calculate the risk you have to develop 13 diseases in the next 4 years (to be counted from the date of your most recent medical checkup). The target diseases are diabetes, cardiac disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, stomach cancer, colon cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, stroke, hypertension, and dyslipidemia.
3) The results are provided to the user as a disease prediction report by postal mail or e-mail (see sample image).
The disease prediction report displays graphically the predicted risk of disease onset for each disease, lists the health checkup items that influenced the AI-calculated risk prediction in order of influence, and displays the following three points for each item: 1. current status, 2. difference from the reference value, and 3. average value from people of the same age/gender.
The kit will be released on our e-commerce site (https://mirai-lab.jpn.com), but will also be available for patients that visit the Tokyo Ginza Wellness & Aging Clinic3 (Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Director: Takahiro Otani), for which we provide medical support. Patients who purchase the product at the clinic will receive a disease prediction report and an explanation of the prediction results from the doctor in charge.
